U.S. Launches Offensive in Iraqi Village - Associated Press

There is no excuse for the headline above.

Why use accurate terms like "enemy stronghold", "al-Qaeda base", or "terrorist occupied town" when you can conjure up defeatist imagery of Viet Nam and civilian deaths with the term, "village?"

Absolutely transparent.

Emory, why is it then that only US forces, "occupy?" Wouldn't the terrorists be occupying that "village."

Or are they your freedom fighters?

Iraq is a spectacular success compared to the holocaust it would become had apppeasers like you sat back and watched.

What would you have said about US forces losing 7000 in one month during WWII?
