From the Tin Foil Hat Archives

"I think that people like the Howard Sterns, the Bill O'Reillys and to a lesser degree the bin Ladens of the world are making a horrible contribution."
-- "Captain" Sean Penn

The Hollywood left and Air America are so out of touch it's almost unbelievable. Paltrow, for example, needs a real wake up call. At least Penn takes himself to the action (cameras in tow of course). Princess no-brain has to go after comments like "I've always been drawn to Europe. America is such a young country, with an adolescent swagger about it. But I feel that I have a more European sensibility, a greater respect for the multicultural nature of the globe." and "it's a strange time to be an American now. I feel like we're really in trouble. I just had a baby and thought, I don't want to live there.' Bush's anti-environment, pro-war policies are a disaster." Of course, these and other comments like it are almost always made in other countries. No wonder we've got PR issues overseas...as if the worldwide distribution of the NY Times wasn't enough.

You're exactly right. Pun intended. What moral authority does she claim Europe has?

America is far from perfect, but mature and sophisticated Europe embraced Hitler's National Socialism or at least tolerated until it came to their doorsteps.

Since WWII, much of Europe has shrugged at Palestinian bombers, negotiated with Libyan assassins in Munich 1972, chastised Israel for defending the sliver of land they do have, made deals with Saddam.

There are many right thinking people in Europe. However, they're controlled by the Left in many areas. Her comments just prove that the Left hates suffering they *know* about. Or, the suffering that the occasional stray US/UK bomb causes in Iraq.

As for the systematic eradication of entire races of people from Belsen to Darfur, they can't quite seem to look up from their port and Sunday's issue of Le Monde.

Hollywood characters like Sean Penn, Gwyneth Paltrow, and, to a lesser degree, Daffy Duck, sure say some stupid things.
