I'm glad to see bloggers keeping an eye on so-called mainstream newspapers/broadcasters, as in this case -- though a simple, and not sinister, explanation is that the journalist didn't do his/her homework on EVERY organizer and participant in this very large event -- the correction in the Wash Post was made, though not as lenghty as that blogger had hoped for.
I hope to see the same bloggers trying to keep the government more honest and forthright:
"A review of thousands of declassified government documents and interviews with former policymakers shows that U.S. intelligence and logistical support played a crucial role in shoring up Iraqi defenses against the "human wave" attacks by suicidal Iranian troops. The administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush authorized the sale to Iraq of numerous items that had both military and civilian applications, including poisonous chemicals and deadly biological viruses, such as anthrax and bubonic plague.
[Hey, Way to go Reagan and Bush! Why didn't your supporters own up to these blunders when the case for war in Iraq was being made?]

If you think that this error was isolated or innocent, you're not only drinking their kool-aid, you're serving it!
When you start talking about "their" kool aid, you Have gone off the deep end.
Please seek help.
Yes, "their." You know, the Van Patten family's kool aid.
Oh sorry. I should have written WaPo, Times, CBS, ABS, NBS, MSNBS, CNN, etc...
You need to be medicated, quickly.
