According to Richard Armitage, who served as Deputy Secretary of State in Bush’s first term—and who, in 2002, said that Hezbollah “may be the A team of terrorists”—Israel’s campaign in Lebanon, which has faced unexpected difficulties and widespread criticism, may, in the end, serve as a warning to the White House about Iran. “If the most dominant military force in the region—the Israel Defense Forces—can’t pacify a country like Lebanon, with a population of four million, you should think carefully about taking that template to Iran, with strategic depth and a population of seventy million,” Armitage said. “The only thing that the bombing has achieved so far is to unite the population against the Israelis.”
hey lebanese anonymous: if you would like to protect your children, stop allowing hezbollah to keep weapons caches in your schools and hospitals, stop endoctrinating your children in the suicide bomber mentality, stop providing a haven for syrian terrorists, and stop unilaterally attacking Israel. ask what have YOU done to make peace with Israel?
This situation is very sad. Every year my support for Israel wanes. In the news here in Australia we always hear of every last detail of Israeli deaths. Eg. Name, age and often even their hopes and dreams. Palestinian deaths mostly are portrayed just a number.

do anything to save our children
If you want to save Lebanese children then ask Hezbollah to recognize Israel's right to the land and stop shooting rockets at their citizens.
Uh, fellas, I think you may have missed the point. I support Israel's right to defend itself. Take a long look at the graphic again.
Israel is fighting for her survival amidst a region demanding exintinction.
Never again will we sit by and look as her enemies advance to destroy her.
I am Lebanese and Christian.
Israel last week bomb my house and no Hezbollah in my neighborhood.
They kill my 2 year old brother.
I once support Israel but no more.

Every human life is equally precious.
